Unintentional mistake of an anchor or an environment of unintentional errors

Unintentional mistake of an anchor or an environment of unintentional errors

Let’s talk about the real issues here. The mourning over the assassinated MP Walid Eido was not a national affair in Lebanon. This issue goes on for all the crimes since the attempted assassination of Marwan Hamade.

What the TV anchor said and she is counted on the speaker of the Lebanese parliament, Nabih Berri, goes beyond the personal point of view and stupidity and it shed the light on the stance of one Lebanese group that varies between the clouding, the gloating, the conniving and the conspiring stances on clearing up the political and autonomous situation that was born from the womb of the assassination of Lebanon’s former prime minister Rafik Hariri

When Gibran Tueni was assassinated, and he was one of the loudest voices of the second independence and the holder of the revolution pledge, there were some who shot fire in the air in glee in Haret Hreik. Some of the fire shooters were among the crowds of the Sayyed of “the red line.” Before that, those same people raised manipulated pictures of Tueni, the Druze leader Walid Jumblatt and Minister Ahmad Fatfat along with Minister Marwan Hamade that made them look like Rabbis. Of course comparing anyone to a Jew cannot be considered an insult in itself with all respect to the belief of others, their faiths and their religious symbols but the political significance to that is that they wanted to place these people in the picture so they look like they were all in the rank of traitors. This classification carries within its folds a hidden call to kill and allow their blood to be shed and soon Tueni’s car bomb proved that without meaning that they hold a direct responsibility to this crime and of course that will be left to the international investigation to determine.

Before that, there were rumors about the reason the journalist Samir Qassir was assassinated that rushed even before the news about the assassination itself. And all of this was spread in the same environment of the same anchor, the lady of the unintentional error, a story linking Qasir, once in a sexual and a love relationship to a politician’s wife and another with a Lebanese political leader’s wife. It was hard then to convince the environment of this unintentional error with the political motivation to the crime and there was this constant persistence to target the dignity of the murdered writer and it was so strong to be refuted by any logic.

The assassination of the deputy and minister Pierre Gemayel was accompanied with a more eloquent tale, a Christian-Christian struggle was then said, a liquidation within the sons of the same sect. A tale that reeked the smell of a hideous gloating of the other who is “divided on themselves” against the united and one “We”

The environment of this unintentional error saw in the attempted assassination of May Chidiac as a just punishment to a woman whose only guilt was the fact that she knows how to speak out her mind with sincerity and confidence, that we may not agree with all the time but it is still her right,. “She was mean and she deserves it.” That’s what they said in their closed rooms and right then technical errors didn’t allow the opportunity to expose what was hidden and said.

Marwan Hamade, the calm diplomat was changed by the attempted assassinated that targeted his life. He was shocked by the crime of the Hariri assassination. The killing of his nephew Gibran Tueni filled his heart with pain and sorrow. Marwan Hamade was changed and he cannot be blamed. He lost some of his diplomacy and he gained some hardship that is not totally him. “We wish he was killed”, many in the environment of unintentional mistake say and once again the smell of that hideous gloating reeks.

This is not a personal unintentional mistake then. It is much deeper, more dangerous to be resolved with expelling one anchor who didn’t say anything but what is being repeated over and over on a larger scale in this environment of the unintentional errors. The same environment where they tell them that there are those who want you to go back to the days where you were shoe cleaners and there are those who are after you. The environment then got scared and they started to master these unintentional errors.

The situation is more dangerous because the terrorist assassin’s accomplishment exceeds his proficiency in this Mafioso liquidation to its ability to provide a populist cover-up to the crime every time it happens and shielding the assassination with a political stance that can be clouded at times and conspiring at many other times.

The danger is that this unintentional error foretells almost the impossibility of a national reconciliation in Lebanon as long as the killer has partners, friends and cheerleaders who will never stop turning on the gloating lantern every time the killer turned on the switch to a tomb in Beirut.
